I took a trip to my first ever cat cafe.
It was great.
Now, if only most of them weren’t sleeping…
A few weeks back, my Web Graphics group ‘Team Alpha’ created a tourism website as part of our first-year final project. One of the photos we featured was that of a mural with a figure of Sir Stamford Raffles overlooking Fort Canning. In our history books, he was well-known as one of the early founders of Singapore. *coughs*
Though I feel we give him too much credit for work that he didn’t do himself like William Farquhar *coughs*.
From then on, Singapore progressed through colonial rule, World War II, a merger with Malaysia and separation. This year, we’ll be entering our 50th year of independence. Neat.
Let’s keep up the good work.
Something exciting happened this week (as you can probably tell from the title).
Initially, I didn’t feel that way. “Just another lecture, nothing new.” I could really use the time for assignments. But the more I heard Mr Scott speak, the more inspired I felt. In fact, by the end of it, I was so honoured to have this once-in-a lifetime chance to listen to his presentation that I almost felt unworthy to be in his presence.
Yellow is always such a bright and vibrant colour. It just has ‘happy’ written all over it. Around this time last year, I finally had the chance to visit Korea. It is definitely one of the fondest memories I have with my family. Lots of fun and laughter all around.
